I think it’s high time I provided an update with what’s been going on with the site, my content, and some life stuff. The last time I talked about this at all was February, and a lot has happened since then!
Life Stuff
As some of you might know, I’m currently based in Victoria, British Columbia. It’s a very nice city with lots to do, and I’m pretty comfortable here. However, we’ve decided it’s time for a new adventure, and come August we will have moved across the country to Montreal, Quebec! It’s one of my favourite cities in the world, and I’m super excited to see how far I can grow myself personally, in my career, and otherwise. I hope I’ll be able to output more content and grow Al Unlocked even further! This will also mean however, that there will be a bit of a hold on content for a few months after June while we figure our stuff out, so I hope you’ll be patient until we’re all set up in Montreal!
Twitch Streaming
Streaming on Twitch accidentally became huge part of what I do, and I don’t regret it at all. I didn’t really start streaming under the Al Unlocked name until Kingdom Hearts 3, since that was a pretty special game release to me, and the whole experience of streaming it and playing it was amazing. Since then I’ve streamed Smash Ultimate, Soulcalibur VI, as well as some other fun stuff unrelated to the site. Just recently I’ve achieved affiliate status on the Twitch website, which is an amazing milestone for me and allows me to make an income through Twitch!
Content
I’ve been pretty busy with life things lately, but I’ve been doing my best to truck along with the website and livestream. I’ve hard at work on stuff for Soulcalibur VI, Smash Ultimate, and Mortal Kombat 11! Fighting games are definitely flavour of the month right now, with lots of Progressive Looks, reviews, and Al Downloaded instalments on the way. After that however, we return to Kingdom Hearts 3 sooner than even I expected, as there’s a new Critical Mode to be explored. I also want to do more list type content, and I’m going to try and do at least one list a month! I want to keep them as interesting as I can so I’m going to be putting a lot of thought into them.
A lot has happened, a lot is yet to come, and I’m ready for all of it! Stay tuned!
